AZ Alkmaar chief Earnie Stewart has admitted interest in Villarreal striker Jozy Altidore.

He says, however, that the club must offload one of their attacking options before they can formalise Altidore's signature.

"We are in talks with Jozy," Stewart MLSsoccer.com.

"He's a good player and we have interest in him, but we'll have to see if it can work out.

"That can only happen if one of our strikers leave."
