Pako Ayestaran feels Spanish coaches always struggle in charge of Real Madrid.

The previous Spanish coach of Real Madrid was Ayestaran's former colleague Rafa Benitez and he was sacked after a short stint in charge, a fate Julen Lopetegui wants to avoid.

"Spanish coaches are not only achieving good results, but they're leaving their mark and are showing the methodology that we use," he said in an interview with Radio MARCA.

"However, it seems Real Madrid devour Spanish coaches.

"You have to be inside it and live through the day-to-day circumstances to have more arguments about this, although it is surprising."
