Florent Indalecio has won a contract with Newcastle United to the end of the season.
He was let go by St Etienne after being deemed disruptive behind the scenes and drifted to the fifth tier in French football before a stint in Australia.
But the close pal of Allan Saint-Maximin has impressed on trial after living with the first team star and will now get a chance to play in Premier League 2.
Speaking about his early life and career he said: "I had bad behaviour, I was a rowdy and cheeky student. I was fired from the centre two weeks before the end of the course.
"The coaches did not want to keep me, football was not enough. I was too young, and at that time I didn't realise it."
