Austria U17 striker Thierno Ballo hit a hat-trick for Chelsea in their rout of U18 opponents Norwich City.

Chelsea's youngsters began the defence of the U18 Premier League Cup in winning fashion at Cobham with a 5-1 win over the Canaries.

Ballo took on responsibility to make that happen, starting as the central striker and bagging a hat-trick inside 35 minutes to give Andy Myers's side a perfect platform in the tie.

Jake Askew's penalty save kept the advantage intact before Henry Lawrence and Jon Russell found the back of the net in the second half.
