League OneShrewsbury midfielder James Wesolowski is likely to miss the rest of this season as he must undergo knee surgery.

The 28-year-old Australian picked up a new knee injury in Saturday's 2-1 win against Barnsley at Oakwell, just three games into his return after missing the final four months of last season.

He will undergo an operation next week, having been given an initial timescale of nine months out this time.
