Former Tottenham and Liverpool striker Robbie Keane is being offered the chance to extend his career in Australia.
Keane confirmed last week that his five-year stay at LA Galaxy has come to an end, but his statement last week confirmed he intends to extend his career as he wrote:
“I believe that now is the right time for a new challenge as I look towards the next chapter of my playing career."
Now Keane looks set to be handed a chance to start a new adventure, with Brisbane Roar managing director Mark Kingsman confirming he will make an approach to sign the Dubliner.
“When you've got somebody of Robbie Keane's calibre and pedigree, I'm sure every A-League club would be interested but we haven't made an approach yet," Kingsman he told The Age. “We will make the call."
