Serge Aurier open to joining Arsenal after Tottenham exit

Serge Aurier would consider a move to Arsenal after terminating his contract at Tottenham.

The Ivorian right-back left Spurs on Tuesday after the club mutually agreed to end his deal a year early.

The 28-year-old wants to stay in England and Arsenal are one of a number of clubs to have been offered his services, according to Sky Sports.

The Gunners loaned out right-back Hector Bellerin to Real Betis on deadline day, but replaced him with Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Aurier would certainly be an upgrade on Cedric Soares, who was woeful in their defeat to Manchester City last weekend.

He would become one of the few players to play for both north London rivals.

William Gallas, Emmanuel Adebayor and Sol Campbell have also crossed the divide in recent years.
