Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan admits he is flattered by interest from Real Madrid.

Despite the great rivalry between the two Madrid clubs, Forlan did not hesitate to admit how happy he is to be linked with Real.

"I am honored and flattered that (Jose) Mourinho and (Florentino) Perez are interested in me," said Forlan.

The Uruguay star was mentioned as a target for Real during the summer.
