Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola must sell Gabriel Jesus if he wants to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodrigo.
The Sun says Guardiola is in a three-way battle for Atletico Madrid's highly-rated holding midfielder, along with Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
But Atletico, armed with major transfer funds, have put striker Gabriel Jesus at the top of their wanted list to replace departing poster boy Antoine Griezmann.
And that will leave Manchester City in pole position for Rodrigo, should they let striker Jesus go as part of the deal.
Rodrigo, 22, only joined Atletico on a five-year deal from Villarreal last summer, and has been a regular starter in their second-placed finish behind Barcelona.
But he has announced he wants to leave, and the Spanish side are resigned to losing him, once his release clause of around £65m is met.
