Atletico Madrid are interested in Racing Santander centre-forward Nikola Zigic.

El Mundo Deportivo says the Serbia international has emerged as a top target for Atletico as they seek to lighten the goal scoring load on star man Fernando Torres.

Racing rate Zigic at £20 million and he could become available with coach Miguel Angel Portugal leaving this summer for a football director's role at Real Madrid.

Along with Zigic, Atletico are also eyeing Diego Forlan [Villarreal], Fernando Baiano [Celta Vigo] and Cacau [Stuttgart].
