Atletico Madrid target Rafa Mir wants fresh Wolves chance

Rafa Mir isn't ready to give up on his Premier League career with Wolves.

Currently starring with Spain at the Olympics, Mir is being linked with Atletico Madrid back at home.

He told AS: Atleti is a great club. I think the way they play suits me very well because of my characteristics. We would have to see what happens ... I am focused on the Games, when they finish we will see ..."

However, Mir also stated: "I have arrived in England in two difficult situations, once at Christmas with the team settled and the other time without a direct preseason to play and then I was injured, the only time in my life.

"I was unemployed for two months. Besides, my level of English was not very good, I have been improving. England is a football that I like, that's why I decided to go there when I left Valencia. Things have not gone as I wanted but I have a thorn in the side, I think I could do well there.

"I am very young, I hope to have many more years of career, we will see what happens."
