Atletico Madrid striker Florent Sinama-Pongolle is eyeing a January return home to France

Sinama-Pongolle has never played senior football in France, having left as a teenager for Liverpool.

However, Lorient have expressed interest in the unsettled striker, whose agent admits the French club would be a welcome destination.

Michael Manuello said: "I was not aware of their interest. But Lorient has a style that should be quite good for Florent.

"If a loan can be for six months with the prospect of playing, having fun and scoring, we will listen to offers. After that, we would need to see the economic level ..."
