Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez has reportedly rejected interest from Brazil in the hope of joining Aston Villa.

Palmeiras, Corinthians and Atletico Mineiro have all put forward offers to the Atletico Madrid forward.

Suarez has knocked them all back - for one reason.

The Uruguayan forward wishes to focus on a reunion with former Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrard at Villa Park, per Gerard Romero.

Atleti are happy to part with the 34-year-old, whose contract expires next year.

Gerrard has already recruited another former Liverpool star in Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazil international is on loan with Villa from Barcelona.
