Atletico Madrid are stepping up their transfer plans this week.

After the capture of Johnny Heitinga from Ajax and the imminent Bosman arrival of Fiorentina defender Tomas Ujfalusi, Atletico have spent the weekend wrapping up terms with Lyon for goalkeeper Gregory Coupet.

The Madrid giants still want two more additions - a striker and a defensive midfielder.

The futures of Fabiano Eller, Maniche, Gourkas Seitaridis and Jose Antonio Reyes, among others, also could be settled shortly.
