Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is prioritizing the signing of a centre back this transfer window.

He wants him to help shore up the Blues' leaky rearguard, which was their biggest weakness this season.

Declan Rice is another Lampard wants to sign, but West Ham United would loathe to lose him, unless they get a monumental offer such as £80 million.

Gimenez is a Uruguay international and has a £110 million release clause.
