Atletico Madrid snaps slump to defeat Osasuna

Atletico Madrid ended a three-match winless run in LaLiga on Saturday evening as they defeated Osasuna 2-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Beyond winning, Atleti had failed to score in their last two domestic outings but they got back to scoring and winning ways in the capital.

Alvaro Morata got the game's first goal but it didn't come until midway through the second half. Kieran Trippier's whipped cross found the forward, who was completely unmarked, and he was able to head home.

The lead doubled within ten minutes through Saul Niguez. Atleti did well by knocking the ball around with some one-touch play before Angel Correa saw space beyond Osasuna's backline.

Saul got in and with Sergio Herrera coming out towards him he executed a cold-blooded chip over the goalkeeper.
