Atletico Madrid signing Tiago takes parting shot at Juventus

Tiago has fired a parting shot at Juventus as he signs on-loan with Atletico Madrid.

Portugal midfielder Tiago has made no secret of his annoyance at the way Juventus have treated him in recent years.

He said: "Atletico and I are happy, but in the end Juve will be a little less so.

"I am very happy. It was very difficult for me, but in the end I got what I wanted. I believe that we are much stronger than last year.

"Important players have arrived and we want to fight for the top places. The minimum objective is to be in the Champions League."

When asked if he'll be ready to play in the European Super Cup against Inter, Tiago said: "I think it would be difficult. I did my first training session with the ball today.

"I still have to work. I would have preferred to see Mourinho stay in Italy. But this year we must beat Real because it's been a long time that we haven't succeeded."
