Atletico Madrid are set to re-sign River Plate striker Rafael Santos Borré.

Atletico sold the Colombian to River a year ago for €3.5m for 50 per cent of his registration.

And Radio Caracol says a €7m deal has been struck to bring Santos Borre back to Europe in January.

It was reported by Javier Bonnet: "River had the option, but there was a repurchase clause, now Atlético de Madrid have paid twice to recover the player, the colchoneros will use the repurchase, which amounts to 7 million euros and the player Santos Borré will return to Spain."

Santos Borre, 23, originally signed for Atletico in 2016 from Deportivo Cali.
