Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo believes they can win the Champions League this season.

Atletico are into the quarterfinals after last night's win at Manchester United.

Cerezo said: "I am completely sure that we will go far in this Champions League, because there is enthusiasm, desire and we have a great team.

“It was a good moment and a magnificent place to celebrate these 1000 official matches for Atlético de Madrid as president. I am happy and satisfied.

"I thank all the Atleti fans, who have brought us this far. I hope we will go far in this Champions League. We have to thank these 3,500 people who came, they are wonderful people who deserve this victory and this place in the quarter-finals."
