Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez has apologised to supporters after their Copa del Rey shock suffered at Cornella.
Atletico were bundled out of the competition losing 1-0 to the lower league outfit.
Afterwards, Saul said: "On these fields any detail is very important.
"(Jose) Giménez is injured, we move the markers and right there, they score us a goal. Well, congratulations to the rival.
"The thing about Ricard is a shame, because he wants to show himself and he was working well.
"I apologise to the fans, we are the main culprits. That the Copa is a single game makes it more beautiful and special."
