Atletico Madrid matchwinner Joao Felix was floating after his two-goal performance in victory over Champions League opponents RB Salzburg.

Felix netted twice, with the winner on 85 minutes, as Atletico won 3-2.

Afterwards, the forward remarked: "The team played a great game. We're happy because we played well. If we continue down this path then the results will come. I try to enjoy every game out on the pitch. To play in the Champions League is what I enjoy the most and you can see how happy I am out there."

Felix also said: "They deserve credit. They attacked very well, and got in front at the start of the second-half. We maybe lost our focus but we were able to regain it and get the win."

Fellow goalscorer Marcos Llorente added: "We know how important he (Felix) is for us, he's shown it - not just with his goal tonight. We're happy for him and he'll help us enjoy more nights like this."

He continued: "If you aren't at 100 percent in the Champions League, everyone will make life difficult for you and that's exactly what Salzburg did. We knew they'd be tough to break down and quick on the counter, as their second goal showed. It's an important win and three vital points for us.

"They're three very important points, especially given how tough the defeat to Bayern was, but we've got three points here and we're going to Moscow [next Tuesday versus Lokomotiv Moskva] to get three points, too."
