Atletico Madrid were keen on Tottenham fullback Serge Aurier this summer.

RMC says Atletico made an approach to Spurs for Aurier about ferrying him to Madrid last month.

However, Spurs rejected the approach - despite Aurier being open to the prospect.

And since then, Atletico have signed Santiago Arias from PSV Eindhoven.
