Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa was delighted with their 2-1 win at Champions League opponents AS Monaco.

Costa was on the scoresheet as Atletico fought back from going a goal down.

"We started losing and we went about our game, it's normal for a team that plays at home to go ahead, the field was complicated and the important thing is the spirit of knowing how to suffer to win," said Costa.

The striker praised Antoine Griezmann, who created one of Atleti's two goals.

"We know the size of the player he is and he has shown that he is a craque, we understand each other more and more, there is a good connection," added Costa.
