Atletico Madrid are keen on signing Chelsea striker Diego Costa, according to Sky Sports.

The Spaniard was notified by Blues boss Antonio Conte that he does feature in his plans for next season.

Costa has stated that he would like a return to the club that he left for London in 2014.

However, the 28-year old would not be able to play for Atletico until their transfer ban is lifted in January.

A third team, acting as a loan club for six-months, has been propositioned as an alternative to facilitate Costa's return to Madrid.
