Atletico Madrid defeated Celta Vigo 4-1 on Saturday to climb to fourth in the table.
Angel Correa, Rodrigo de Paul and Yannick Carrasco were all on target as Atletico built a three-goal lead.
Gabri Veiga pulled one back for Celta with 20 minutes to play but there would be no comeback from the visitors at the Metropolitano.
Instead, an Unai Nunez own goal sealed the points for Atletico after a brilliant run from Matheus Cunha.
The win completes a good week for Atletico, who beat Porto 2-1 in their opening Champions League fixture on Wednesday.
Atletico now have 10 points from their five fixtures, leaving them fourth in the table, although Real Betis and Osasuna could move ahead with their game in hand.
