Atletico Madrid are eager to secure Thomas Partey to new terms.

The midfielder's current deal runs to 2023 with a buyout clause of €50m.

AS says Atletico want to upgrade the arrangement, by doubling his buyout clause and also increasing his personal terms.

Thomas has been outstanding for Atletico this season as he stepped up to fill the void left by Rodri after his move to Manchester City.

Atletico are planning to settle new terms with Thomas before the end of 2019.
