Atletico Madrid defender Santiago Arias is interesting Everton.

Antena2 says Everton are plotting a move for Arias, but they face stiff competition from Inter Milan.

The 28-year-old joined the Spanish side from PSV in 2018 having been snapped up by current Blues director of football Marcel Brands back in 2013.

Despite being capped 53 times by Colombia, Arias has managed just 11 outings since Kieran Trippier joined from Tottenham last summer.

He has dropped down the pecking order at the club and has become the third-choice right-back behind Sime Vrsaljko and the England international.
