Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin wants a move to Chelsea.

The Uruguay centre-half confirmed the Blues made a bid for him in January but Atletico refused to sell.

During the winter transfer window, Atletico snubbed a £54million bid from Chelsea for striker Sergio Aguero and Godin.

But Godin said: "The club didn't want to sell. Who wouldn't want to play for Chelsea? It would mean going up a step."
