Atletico Madrid defender Jose Maria Gimenez has dismissed talk of joining Real Madrid.

Discussing links with cross-city rivals Real Madrid, he said he hasn't even considered the possibility.

"I don't even think about that," he said when asked if he'd consider switching allegiances in an interview with La Sexta.

"Rumours of offers from Real Madrid always appear when we're playing the derby, no?

"Sincerely, and I can swear on my kids, nobody from Real Madrid ever called me to ask me to go."
