Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin is wary of rushing his return from injury.
On Thursday morning, the Uruguayan exercised at a good level and without any signs of the muscle injury he suffered on November 10 in the win over Athletic, in which he scored.
Godin has been missing since November 10 with a leg strain.
"When you are in the final days of recovery, you have to manage that anxiety and remember the reality because it was a major injury," he told the club's website.
"I'm meeting the deadlines that the doctor set out for me but it was a big injury that takes four or five weeks to recover from and now I'm entering the fourth week.
"We have to stay calm but I want to get back in good condition because it is a point of the season in which I can't afford to have another muscle problem.
"I want to return as soon as possible and help the team finish the year healthy before the winter break."
