Atletico Madrid coaching staff have rejected claims from Saul Niguez after he made his loan move to Chelsea.
Saul had claimed he chose to leave Atletico after a request to train in his preferred position was rejected by coach Diego Simone and his staff.
However, Atletico sources told AS that Saul is wrong with his criticism.
Atletico insist there was never an opportunity for Saul to be featured in the position as in bounce games they set up the team to play like the opposition. As such, Saul would never play in his preferred role.
Saul signed for Chelsea in a straight loan on Tuesday.
