Atletico Madrid are stepping up their interest in Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette.

Mundo Deportivo says Atletico are keeping a keen eye on Lacazette's situation as Diego Simeone plans a shake-up at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Lacazette was high on their wish-list in January, but the club instead focused their efforts on an eventually fruitless chase for Edinson Cavani.

Frenchman Lacazette has been at Arsenal since 2017, but only has seven goals in 20 Premier League appearances this season and has fallen out of favour with new boss Mikel Arteta.

In this season's LaLiga, Atletico have the second-worst goal tally of the teams in the top half of the table with 31 in 27 matches.
