Atletico Madrid coach Simeone: Reinildo could've done better for Man Utd goal

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone was left frustrated after last night's draw with Champions League opponents Manchester United.

The first-leg of the round 16 tie finished 1-1.

Of Anthony Elanga's equaliser, Simeone said: "A good play on the way out of the ball by Bruno Fernándes that enables very well in one of the only imbalances they had in the game. Reinildo accompanying the play could have solved it better.

"We did many good things. Collective work, pressing up, defensive play... I didn't make changes because they did well. We were very close. I liked how we competed. Very satisfied with the team's play."

Of the second-leg, Simeone also said: "We are going to play on their field with their environment, they will surely have more drive and that will generate a higher rhythm than is usually seen in the Premier. What better than going to play a fantastic scenario to put everything to the test?"
