Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone is pushing for management to bid for Olivier Giroud,

The race for the Chelsea centre-forward is heating up, with Atletico and Olympique Marseille in contact with his camp about a departure from London.

France Football says Simeone is a big fan of Giroud and want to see him signed in the next month.

For his part, Giroud has performed a U-turn in recent weeks and is now leaning towards an exit from Stamford Bridge.

Marseille, meanwhile, hope to convince Chelsea a loan deal for Giroud.
