Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone was left frustrated after defeat to Real Sociedad.

Simeone expects his Atletico Madrid players to use their loss at Real Sociedad as a learning curve, as they suffered their first setback of the season.

Unbeaten in their previous three games, Los Rojiblancos were left wanting in San Sebastian.

"It's the first defeat of the season," Simeone said afterwards.

"We have to improve and to grow.

"There are young players who have to grow and that comes from suffering setbacks.

"We want to arrive at our best at the right time."

He further emphasised the need for growth and also timing, when asked about his side's defensive concerns.

"Everything worries me," he acknowledged.

"Anything that happens offensively or defensively.

"We need to grow.

"We know what we have, what we are and where we have to go."
