Atletico Madrid coach Simeone happy with victory over Real Betis

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone was pleased with their 2-1 win over Real Betis.

The visitors had very little chances at the Estadio Benito Villamarin, but Angel Correa and Alvaro Morata both found the net in the second half.

"Betis are showing that they play a very clear game. They're good positionally," Simeone told the press.

"We controlled Betis' dangerous situations better in the first half. The second half was stranger; it seemed that no one could score.

"It shows that small details can decide matches."

Correa scored just two minutes after entering the field as a substitute and his coach was happy with his contribution from the bench.

"He'd already had a very good week, knowing that he wasn't going to start," Simeone said.

"He trained very well and when he came on, he showed the quality player that he is.

"We had a tough game, in a stadium where our opponents were in good form."
