Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone hailed the passion of Diego Costa for their 1-1 draw with Girona.

Atletico's effort at Girona came through an own-goal even though Costa played an important role in forcing the mistake.

"It was typical Costa, he is working hard, he is giving his all in every game," said Simeone.

"I liked the team a lot, in the first half we were able to do what we wanted. We were up against a tough side that is in form, and after they scored it was a game that could have gone anyway.

"We looked to attack down the wings through Gelson and Lemar, this is an incredible league, there are no easy rivals and that's what makes it attractive."
