Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone was pleased with his new-look attack for the 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano.
The new attacking trio of Antoine Griezmann, Diego Costa and Alvaro Morata helped claim the win, with Griezmann the goalscorer.
Simeone said, "I love the idea of them playing together but it needs time to work properly.
"Griezmann takes advantage of everything in front of him and Diego Costa allows to Morata to play with more freedom," he said.
Looking ahead to the Champions League match against Juventus, Simeone hopes the three attackers, especially Diego Costa, can continue their good form.
"Costa was very strong and adapted to the needs of the team.
"A lot of players fear him and it is no coincidence that his entry to the game allowed us to win the match."
