Atletico Madrid coach Simeone demands better after defeat of Levante

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone wants his players to be more ruthless after their 2-1 win over Levante.

Atletico won via goals from Angel Correa and Felipe.

The likes of Joao Felix and Vitolo missed good chances to score a third for the hosts before Levante threatened to steal a point.

"We have to be more clinical, for sure," Simeone told the press.

"If you're not clinical, you're always closer to losing."

Joao Felix seemed to tire towards the end of the match and some have questioned whether he's been able to adapt to Simeone's demanding style.

"You'd have to ask him if he's not comfortable," the Atletico boss said.

"We see him as being committed.

"Every time he gets the ball, something happens.

"He had lots of chances.

"The path that he's on is the one we imagined.

"I don't know if he'd have it differently."

Jan Oblak made a couple of key saves to protect the three points for Atletico and his boss was grateful.

"As far as we're concerned, he's the best [goalkeeper] in the world," El Cholo said.

"He's one of our captains.

"He acted in the decisive moments, but the last [save] was from a player that wins you games.

"He gave us the chance of winning a game that we had to finish off before."
