Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone calm after Levante draw

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone was calm after their draw at Levante.

Angel Correa missed a glorious chance to win it for Los Rojiblancos, but the coach doesn't feel as though his side were hard done by.

"We found ourselves against a tough opponent who do things well," Simeone said after the game. "They've improved defensively, they're well organised and use the ball well.

"They worked for their equaliser and got it. We had two very clear chances and in the end we could have lost. It was a fair result for two teams who played well."

Atletico Madrid had an incredible defensive record until recently, but they've now conceded eight goals in their last six games.

"We have to improve and we'll keep trying to," Simeone said.

"We played with intensity, we tried [to attack] down both wings and we had shots from a medium-range."

Despite their recent difficulties, the Argentine doesn't think his players are nervous as leaders.

"No," he said when asked if nervousness had crept in. "I don't think it [leading] can generate nervousness."
