Atletico Madrid chiefs are working on finding a new striker for coach Diego Simeone.

AS says Atletico are working off a shortlist of three top names to strengthen Simeone's attacking options.

Released PSG veteran Edinson Cavani is still under consideration, though his brother and Atletico president Enrique Cerezo have traded barbs through the press in recent days.

Meanwhile, Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has emerged as Atleti's top target.

Lacazette has been mentioned in a swap for either Thomas Partey or Thomas Lemar with Atletico. With a deal to 2022, Atletico do not have the spending power to close a straight cash deal with Arsenal for the Frenchman.

As such, Atletico are also seriously considering Espanyol centre-forward Raul de Tomas.

Given the Catalans' relegation, De Tomas is emerging as the easiest target to land for the Madrid giants in the coming weeks.
