Atletico Madrid sporting director Andrea Berta has played down the prospect of a big spending summer.
Berta was in his native Italy yesterday to collect the Maestrelli award.
He said at the ceremony: "Atleti were not used to winning, and something important has been built with coach (Diego) Simeone's cycle.
"When you win something important, the following year you always lose something, perhaps at the level of motivation. You can't always succeed, now we're thinking of starting over."
Regarding the summer market, the Italian stated: "The years of the great signings are over. For us, the important thing will be to continue with this squad, which has value, with players who have a great future.
"For the market to start, there will be what to expect."
