Arsenal are hotting up their pursuit of Ajax left back Nicolas Tagliafico.

The Ajax defender was hugely impressive as his side beat Real Madrid to reach the Champions League quarter finals last week.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal want to sign the Argentina international in the summer.

But they will face competition from other clubs, including Atletico Madrid, who are alerted to Tagliafico's quality.

And Ajax will want to get a sizeable sum if they are to sell one of their prized assets.

The 26-year-old has 27 appearances for the club this season.
