Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is hopeful of assistant Mono Burgos penning new terms.

While Simeone has agreed a deal to 2022, Burgos remains in negotiations.

"He is negotiating details of his contract individually," said Simeone.

"Hopefully he will resolve it as soon as possible, or when he thinks it is appropriate."

Burgos is being represented in talks by Simeone's sister, Natalie.
