Atletico Madrid fullback Kieran Trippier has been hit with a 12-match ban.
Trippier has been banned from football for 10 weeks after the English FA found he broke betting rules.
The right back, 30, was found guilty of four breaches out of a possible seven during a personal hearing on Wednesday. He will miss the Champions League clash against Chelsea on Feb 23 as well as 11 other matches for the club.
"The suspension, which includes all football and football-related activity, is effective worldwide from today (Wednesday 23 December 2020) following an application to FIFA," said the FA in a statement.
Tripper will be back in time to face Real Madrid in the derby on March 7.
