Atletico Madrid 2-goal hero Marcos Llorente: We have no ceiling

Atletico Madrid's two-goal hero Marcos Llorente says they "have no ceiling" after a stunning Champions League win at Liverpool.

Atletico won 3-2 at Anfield in extra time to reach the quarterfinals 4-2 on aggregate - this despite Roberto Firmino's goal at the start of the added 30 minutes giving the hosts the lead in the tie.

Georginio Wijnaldum's first-half header was full reward for Liverpool laying siege to the Atletico goal for much of the first 90 minutes.

And yet, as the Kop sensed another memorable Champions League victory, Adrian - deputising for the injured Alisson - paid the price for a dreadful clearance as substitute Marco Llorente pounced with a low finish to secure Atletico's crucial away goal.

Llorente struck again with another composed finish in the 105th minute and with the spirit draining out of Liverpool and their supporters, former Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata adding insult to injury with a third in the dying seconds to send Atletico through to the last eight.

Llorente said: "We don't know where our ceiling is to endure, to suffer ... as we have done today. We have defended everyone to the death. When the whole team gets involved these things happen.

"Simply being able to score a goal that qualifies us for the next round is a feeling that cannot be described.

"I am very happy, everyone very happy. There is still a lot of work in the League and we are very well prepared to continue."
