Atlanta United coach Frank de Boer insists he would've been a success with Inter Milan.
De Boer lasted just 85 days as Inter boss in 2016.
“I work for a very young club: there are no former Presidents or directors with much influence here," the Atlanta United boss told De Telegraaf.
“At Inter, a player's agent came up to me once and told me: 'If I'd known you wouldn't have let my client play, I would never have given you permission for you become Coach'.
“That's to make people understand how far their influence in the club extends. I was shocked that no disciplinary action was taken against him.
“In that sense, working here is much more relaxing. I'm sure I'd have done well for Inter if they were a little more patient with me.
“Inside of me there's still disappointment for not being able to prove what I really could do there.
“I want to show once more that I can also succeed in a top European League."
