Raul Garcia is confident he will be offered a new deal by Athletic Bilbao.

The 36 year-old striker's current deal expires at the end of this season.

Garcia said: "At the moment, there is not anything. I have always said the same thing, I am a person with whom you can talk calmly.

"The club knows perfectly well that with me they could talk about any situation, both positive and negative. I think that because of the trajectory that I have that conversation has to take place.

"I fully trust that I can renew, I feel like that. I have always said the same thing, the moment I see that I am not here to renew, I would step aside because I do not want to harm anyone."
