Athletic Bilbao presidential candidate Inaki Arechabaleta admits he's interested in Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann.
The France attacker, formerly of Real Sociedad, is on-loan at Atletico from Barcelona.
Former Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa is part of Arechabaleta's ticket, who said: “With Marcelo we have talked about the possibilities of signing players for Athletic and, therefore, we will be attentive to the possibilities we have to strengthen our squad."
On Griezmann, he continued: "It could be because it's part of the club's philosophy, but I think it's absolutely impossible.
"The problem is not whether Griezmann enters the philosophy, but that many do not like it, but he came to Euskal Herria at a much younger age than a footballer of the same nationality to Lezama (referring to Aymeric Laporte). Griezmann is unattainable at the moment for salary and what you have to pay for him."
