Athletic Bilbao have axed B coach Bineg Arostegi.

In a statement on Monday, Athletic announced: "Athletic Club has decided to relieve Bineg Arostegi of his duties as head coach of Bilbao Athletic. Arostegi took over as the reserves' head coach last summer.

"His replacement will be announced with the next few hours.

"Athletic Club thanks Bingen for the commitment, professionalism he has shown since taking reins of the second team. The Club wishes him all the best in his future endeavours, both personal and professional."
